This is compulsory for all registered and enrolled nurses and aquability staff.
What content does the program cover?
The learning content and activity covers the following:
• Unit of competency - HLTAID001 Provide CPR
• A combination of theory and practical demonstrations of CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines, and oxygen therapy
• Hands on practical experience performing CPR and administering oxygen therapy
Does the program have any prerequisites?
Participants must have a current First Aid Certificate
How will course work be assessed?
Competency is assessed via:
• written quiz questions
• assessment questions
• class participation
• practical application of CPR and oxygen therapy in a simulated environment (includes responding to simulated scenarios)
How long is the course?
Duration: Half day
