This is mandatory training for Occupational Therapists.

What content does the course cover?  

In this training session you will learn how to prescribe minor home modifications. 
This includes:

  • The roles of the OT and builder.
  • Application of Australian Standards (AS1428) where relevant.
  • OT assessment process
  • Use of OT Draw
  • Case study discussion
  • Frequently prescribed minor home modifications including:
  • Grab rails
  • Handrails
  • Taps
  • Wedge, threshold, and step ramps
  • Handheld shower hoses
  • Doorways
  • Documentation and Evaluation

Note: Registration closes 1 week before the session.

Does the course have prerequisites or specific requirements? 

Please bring one client case study that involves a need around minor environmental modifications.
