This is mandatory training for Disability Support Managers, Program Coordinators and DSP level 3,4 and 5.
If this course is relevant to your role, but not mandatory, please discuss with and get approval from your manager.
What content does the course cover?
This virtual session develops skills in conducting Skill Builders and Practice Assessments. It includes:
- Creating rapport and establishing relationships
- Learning styles and adult learning principals
- Creating a culture and environment that helps people learn
- Leading new DSPs through on-the-job learning
- Understanding the DSP learning journey and refresher program
- Successfully conduct DSP practice assessments
- Work with relevant documentation
