Who is this course for?
This is mandatory training for Disability Support Managers, Program Coordinators and delegates in A&R, Lifestyles, Packforce, Youth teams who have been with CPA for more than 6months. The assessment is completed annually as part of the refresher program.

What content does the course cover?
The purpose of this annual refresher is to ensure you are proficient in and have the current skills and knowledge to complete practice assessments with your team in the following month, so they can safely support clients with mealtimes.
The session is run by one of our Speech Pathologists in a simulated environment who will:
- Refresh key points covered in the mealtime practice alert
- Demonstrate the essential knowledge and practical skills required to complete the practice assessment
- Observe and assess you completing the practice assessment to demonstrate proficiency.
Does the course have prerequisites or specific requirements?
The following must be completed before attending:
- Mealtime assistance – face to face induction training (currently part of Disability Support Workshop 1)
It's recommended managers also complete the Refresher 2024 Mealtime Assistance online module before attending the assessment clinic.
