Who is this course and practice assessment clinic for?
This assessment clinic is ***for staff who are NEW to managing a team and conducting practice assessments***. This includes disability support managers and program coordinators in A&R, Lifestyles and Packforce, DSPs in the talent pool and other staff designated to support with practice assessments.
What does the assessment clinic involve?
In this session you will receive refresher training and be assessed on;
- Mealtime Practice Assessment
- Medication Practice Assessment
- Bowel Care Practice Assessment
- Client Manual Handling Practice Assessment.
Does the course have any prerequisites or specific requirements?
- Disability Support Workshop One, or
- Disability Support Practice or equivalent and Mealtime assistance face to face training
- Bowel care training
Assessment completion requires:
Participants must be able to show they have the necessary knowledge and practical skills to safely assist clients with medication, mealtimes, and bowel care.
