Why choose this course?
Assistive Technology: Practical Workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their skills and knowledge in the areas Electronic Assistive Technology. This course promotes collaborative practice between occupational therapists and speech pathologists to optimise client outcomes.
Note: the March 2023 session is for Occupational Therapists only as there are a number of OTs in the organisation needing to complete the training. All other sessions are for both OTs and Speech Pathologists.
What content does the program cover?
This course will enable participants to work through the client journey according to Electronic Assistive Technology service delivery. Through the use of case studies and practical application participants will follow the SETT framework to generate and implement solutions collaboratively. This will involve hands on activities around access, mounting and positioning of computer access, communication and environmental control technology.

The following online learning course must be completed prior to taking part in this workshop.
