Why choose this course?

The Electronic Assistive Technology Practical Workshop is designed for occupational therapists and speech pathologists and will provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their skills and knowledge in the areas of electronic assistive technology.  This course promotes collaborative practice between occupational therapists and speech pathologists to optimise client outcomes.

What content does the program cover?

This course will enable participants to work through the client journey according to Electronic Assistive Technology service delivery. Through the use of case studies and practical application participants will follow the SETT framework to generate and implement solutions collaboratively.  This will involve hands on activities around access, mounting and positioning of computer access, communication and environmental control technology.

Does this program have any pre-requisites?

Participants must complete Introduction to Electronic Assistive Technology – Online modules prior to attending the workshop.  The online modules will be available in participants’ Online Learning System.
