What content does the course cover?
In this training session you will learn how to assist clients with Complex Bowel Care Management Plans.
This includes:
- Understanding how the digestive system works
- The connection between nutrition, bowel health and general health
- Ways to promote good bowel health for clients
- Recognising bowel health problems for clients
- Managing bowel health problems for clients
- Safely assisting clients with their prescribed per rectal medications.
Does the course have prerequisites or specific requirements?
The following must be completed before attending:
- Assist with medication - online
- Infection prevention and control - online
- Disability support practice workshop.
