This mandatory 2 day workshop provides all new team leaders, managers, mentors and supervisors the skills and knowledge required to effectively and successfully lead and manage a team.

The workshop will ensure attendees are skilled and competent in applying a range of leading-edge people management tools, resources and practices – aligned with Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s ‘way of working – that will create leadership success.

What content does the program cover?

This 2 day workshop  includes a range of practical scenarios, requires attendee participation and the delivery of information relevant to undertaking management responsibilities within CPA.

  • Course content covers: Effective Management – what is it and some core principles of effective leadership
  • Role Families and Descriptions – understanding how to use CPA’s role families and write role descriptions
  • Talent Acquisition – the do’s and don’ts of talent acquisition, including interview techniques, reference and probity checks
  • Remuneration Philosophy – reviewing our strategy and framework, including remuneration packaging
  • Performance Management – the system of monitoring, reviewing, and developing employees to ensure they are high performing, contributing members of the CPA team

This activity includes informal assessment, which involves participation in discussions and group activities
