Mealtime assistance first practice assessment for managers
This practice assessment is available for:
- Cerebral Palsy Alliance employees only.
This assessment is for all CPA managers in A&R, Lifestyles, Packforce and Youth Services. An annual Mealtime Assistance Refresher Practice Assessment will then be a required as a compulsory part of the refresher program.
What does the assessment involve?
You will be assessed by one of our Speech Pathologists in a simulated environment across a range of concepts and activities to safely support clients during mealtimes. This includes the assessor observing you undertaking various tasks, to assess your knowledge and skills.
Does the assessment have any prerequisites?
Managers need to have completed their Mealtime Assistance orientation training, as listed in their Learning Journey before attending this first assessment.

Managers must be able to show they have the necessary knowledge and practical skills to safely and effectively support clients during mealtimes and to support their teams.
How long is the assessment?
Duration: Approx 2 hours. Please arrive 15mins prior and wait for the facilitator.
