This course is recommended for new graduate occupational therapists and speech pathologists and final year University Students, who have an interest in assistive technology.

What content does the program cover?

This course will provide participants with an overview of assistive technology assessment and intervention options. The principles of the SETT framework will be explained to assist in completing a technology assessment. Participants will learn about direct and indirect access methods.

Assistive technology options will include switches, speech generating devices, software and environmental control systems.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore ‘hands-on’ some of the solutions presented.

Pre-reading will be provided to participants. Please complete all pre-reading prior to attending training.
