This government funded skill set (nationally recognised qualification) is suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment, particularly individuals delivering training and assessment in the VET sector who are also in a  team leader or management role.

What Content does the program cover?

The skill set consists of 5 units from Certificate IV in TAE plus 2 units from certificate IV in Frontline Management. A further 5 units* from TAE will be delivered to allow participants to achieve the full qualification. On successful completion of the course participants will be awarded a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a statement of attainment for 3 units of competency towards a Certificate IV in Frontline Management.

Does the program have any pre requisites?

There are no pre requisites. Undertaking this course will require commitment, including to:

  • attend and participate in the scheduled training sessions,
  • organise the opportunity and time to deliver training to a group of learners to complete course assessment requirements

Do I get recognition for the certificates I have already studied?

Yes, you can apply for a Credit Transfer for units of competency you have already done. You may also apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where you can provide evidence of existing skills and knowledge.

How will my course work be assessed?

Formal assessment is a requirement of nationally recognised training.

You will need to commit to personal study time to complete assessment requirements.All learning and assessment materials are provided for you throughout the course.

Successful completion of assessments must be completed to be eligible for the certificate.

A range of assessment methods may be used including:

  • Tasks completed by you in your own time
  • Tasks completed in face to face sessions
  • Observation of on-the-job performance

The fee for the additional 5 units is $295.00

The skill set units are funded by the NSW Government.

When does the course begin: 

Day 1 of the course is:  3 December 2015.  The last day of the course is 30 September 2016.

How long does the course take? 

This course duration is approximately 10 months.  The delivery of this course is a blend of face to face (approximately 12 face to face days over the 10 months), workplace and individual learning.

Everyone undertaking a Nationally Recognised course Australia wide is required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) from 1 Jan 2015.  Your USI will link to an online account that will contain all your Nationally Recognised training records and results from 2015 on.
